    Job Description:


    Resident Engineers (REs) play a pivotal role in overseeing the execution of DDC (Data Center and Critical Facility) infrastructure projects on-site, ensuring that construction activities adhere to project plans, specifications, and quality standards.

    They serve as the primary point of contact between project stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and clients, and are responsible for managing all aspects of the construction process to ensure successful project delivery.


    Key Responsibilities:
    Provide on-site supervision and oversight of construction activities to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
    Monitor and inspect construction work, materials, and installations to verify quality, safety, and adherence to project standards.
    Review and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documents to ensure constructability and address design discrepancies.
    Coordinate with project stakeholders, including contractors, subcontractors, architects, and engineers, to resolve construction issues and mitigate delays.
    Manage project schedules, progress, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective project delivery.

    Conduct regular meetings with project teams to communicate project goals, objectives, and expectations, and to address any issues or concerns.

    Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, inspection records, change orders, and RFIs (Requests for Information).
    Coordinate and oversee the testing and commissioning of DDC infrastructure systems, including HVAC, electrical, fire protection, and security systems.
    Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior staff members and support their professional development.
    Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a culture of safety on the construction site.


    Requirements:

    For Junior to Mid-level Resident Engineer:
    Minimum one DDC infrastructure project experience or 2+ years of DDC infrastructure experience.
    Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
    Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    Ability to work effectively in a team environment and under pressure.

    For Mid-level to Senior Resident Engineer:
    Minimum two DDC infrastructure projects experience or 4+ years of DDC infrastructure experience.
    In-depth understanding of construction project management principles and practices.
    Proven track record of managing construction projects to successful completion.
    Leadership and problem-solving skills.

    For Senior Level Resident Engineer:
    Minimum three DDC infrastructure projects experience or 7+ years of DDC infrastructure experience.
    Extensive knowledge of DDC infrastructure systems, codes, and regulations.
    Strong leadership, decision-making, and negotiation skills.
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or related field preferred.
