    The University of Massachusetts President's Office, located in Shrewsbury and Boston, MA is offering a Summer 2024 Internship for enrolled UMass students. This internship provides a valuable opportunity for students to gain practical experience working with data and analytics in the Unified Procurement Services Team. It is a paid internship that may also offer academic credit.

    Interns in this role will work closely with the Data & Analytics Specialist to enhance data visualization, generate insights through data analysis, and contribute to the improvement of procurement processes at UMass. This experience will not only develop technical skills but also provide a deep understanding of procurement operations within the university.

    The ideal candidates are problem-solvers with a passion for data, strong analytical abilities, and a positive work attitude. Throughout this internship, individuals will enhance their analysis and reporting skills, gain business insights, and collaborate with various functional teams within UPST and the UMass President's Office.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design interactive dashboards using Tableau & Salesforce for procurement metrics and KPIs.
    • Assist in data analysis, issue identification, and collaboration with IT professionals.
    • Collaborate with different departments to fulfill data reporting requirements.
    • Support special projects to achieve long-term data analytics goals.

    Additional Duties:

    • Perform assigned tasks as needed.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Enrolled UMass student in analytics or MIS programs.
    • GPA of 3.0 or above.
    • Experience with Tableau.
    • Strong analytical and communication skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience with data visualization and interactive dashboards.
    • Advanced Tableau skills.
    • Knowledge of Salesforce.

    Working Environment:
