JOB SUMMARY


Extruder Operator is responsible for operating an extrusion line including all auxiliary equipment, for the purpose of creating quality profiles.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Teardown, set up, and start an extruder line with direction from Cell Lead.
  • Must know how to use calipers, micrometer, gauges, other measuring devices, and mating parts to ensure quality products and parts meet customer specifications.
  • Ability to read blueprints.
  • Monitor various inspection/production reports to ensure the production of quality product.
  • Efficiently manage production of product from start to finish of run.
  • Minimize scrap and regrind.
  • Maximize efficiency to reduce overall setup and startup time.
  • Must be capable of, but not always required to watch over multiple extrusion lines.
  • Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
  • Strictly adheres to Company and Plant safety policies and procedures.
  • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

SECONDARY FUNCTIONS

  • Will assist other operators, as well as production packer on an as needed basis.
  • Operation of Forklift.
  • Material Handling functions.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Adheres to and supports the company's vision, mission, and goals.

PERFORMANCE MEASURES

  • Must be able to produce parts that meet quality requirements.
  • Minimize the amount of line setup and startup time.
  • Run at established efficiency requirements.
  • Minimize scrap and regrind during production runs.

Job Types:
Temp-to-hire, Full-time


Pay:
$ $24.50 per hour

  • 8 hour shift

  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

Extrusion Machine Operator: 1 year (preferred)
