Description

The Construction ISP Engineer, as part of the Network Deployment team, plays a crucial role in BAI Connect's success by preparing and delivering technical diagrams, bills of material and scopes of work to internal and external stake holders. In addition, this role is expected to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders, customers and outside construction partners. This role is essential to the life cycle of our builds and customer service.

Duties and Responsibilities:

in the development and updates of cost estimates/BOMs
in the development and updates of Project Design Packages
in the development, updates, and distribution of the RFP/SOW documents to our Subcontractors/Owners
with Network Engineering, Procurement, Asset Administration teams
questions regarding the scope of work and/or timing of the project
control of all project documentation/correspondence
manage and track RFI's from the field to the architect/GC of record
project records as revisions are required
project team with conflict resolution between Owner, Contractor and Subcontractor
basic networking layouts / backbone infrastructure
project change-order management and creation
the project team with site survey review documentation and coordination
the project team with closeout packages / As-built documentation for each project
the project team with subcontractor billings
the project team with assigned/open tasks and provide updates

Education:

degree in Telecommunications, Engineering, Economics, General Business, and or related field of study or equivalent
trade school or certifications a plus

Experience:

experience in a similar technical supporting role
drafting or design experience a plus
in telecom or internet service provider, WISP or similar business a plus

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

with Salesforce, Google Earth, Visio or similar design software.
of internet technologies and network design (emphasis on layer 1), Microwave, WiFi and RF.
understanding of Fiber Optic network design and implementation.
of DirecTV MDU deployments a plus.
to read and understand construction blueprints/designs, including distance take offs, and develop internal build plans accordingly.
computer skills including good working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products/Google Docs/Gmail.
critical-thinking and problem solving, attention to detail and time management skills are required.
Project Management skills with an ability to successfully manage multiple simultaneous tasks and work activities at once
written and verbal communication skills are required including end user customer service skills with an ability to explain technical concepts to laypersons in simple understandable terms.
to be a self-starter with an ability to handle ambiguity and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment without supervision.
