    Description
    Typical Duties:
    1. Pre-job Planning Meetings:
    • Review estimates, plans, and specifications with relevant stakeholders.
    1. Administrative Tasks:
    • Prepare, submit, and follow up on Requests for Information (RFIs).
    • Assist in reviewing project management procedures and documentation.
    1. Submittal and Shop Drawing Process:
    • Monitor submittal approvals and shop drawing processes according to the project schedule.
    1. Purchasing and Budget Management:
    • Assist Project Manager in purchasing materials and subcontractors.
    • Support project budget, schedule, and contract documents.
    1. Construction Efforts:
    • Actively learn from construction efforts, participate in planning and design, and identify potential issues early on.
    1. Project Administrative Documents:
    • Prepare and maintain project administrative documents as directed by the Project Manager.
    1. Material Billings and Cost-Coding:
    • Collect, input, and prepare material billings.
    • Understand budget cost-coding and apply it accurately to daily timesheets.
    1. Field Operations:
    • Field measure and document daily quantities completed.
    • Gather and account for daily material deliveries.
    1. Personnel Management:
    • Manage project engineering and related personnel activities in compliance with company and contract requirements.
    • Assist in maintaining the schedule and reviewing project schedules regularly.
    1. Safety Compliance:
    • Promote and ensure a clean, safe, and OSHA-compliant jobsite.
    • Identify and correct potential safety hazards and make timely notifications following accidents.
    1. Problem Resolution:
    • Assist in resolving project and personnel problems.
    • Maintain good client and business partner relationships.
    1. Post-Job Review:
    • Conduct post-job reviews on assigned projects to identify lessons learned.
    Qualifications:
    • Education and Experience:
    • Undergraduate degree in construction management, landscape architecture, civil engineering, or equivalent experience.
    • Language Skills:
    • Proficiency in English; bilingual in Spanish is helpful but not required.
    • Mathematical Skills:
    • Basic business math, geometry, algebra, and physics for calculations.
    • Planning and Organizing:
    • Strong planning, organizing, and time management skills.
    • Reasoning Ability:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Interpersonal Skills:
    • Ability to collaborate with a wide variety of people.
    • Computer Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and willingness to learn new technologies.
    • Certificates, Licenses, Registration:
    • Valid California Driver's License and clean driving record.
