    Description

    Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) - Sign On Bonus

    We are seeking an Oncology Registered Nurse to provide safe and direct nursing care to patients assigned to them. You would be working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to implement and document care plans that incorporate age-specific considerations, including discharge planning and patient and family education. You will be responsible for administering medication, managing patient records, and creating a therapeutic environment for patients.

    Responsibilities:

    • Deliver safe direct care to assigned patients
    • Maintain compliance with hospital, nursing division, and departmental policies
    • Create individualized care plans with age-specific considerations
    • Assist with special tests and procedures
    • Participate in orientation and act as a preceptor for new personnel
    • Institute emergency measures for sudden, adverse developments in patients
    • Maintain patient medical records
    • Administer medication, including IV medication
    • Create a safe and therapeutic environment for patients in compliance with hospital standards
    • Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and workshops
    • Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care

    Requirements:

    • Graduate from a nationally accredited nursing program
    • Current CPR for Healthcare/BLS certification
    • Registered Nurse license in New Mexico or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM

    Physical Requirements:

    • Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.

    Working Conditions:

    • May require personal protective equipment due to exposure to biohazardous materials and chemicals
