- Associates degree in business or related field; AND
- Five years of experience performing regulatory compliance functions;
- Bachelors degree in business or related field;
- Experience using Google applications;
- Experience with basic statistical analysis;
- Experience with compliance functions in the public or private sectors.
- Collaborates with Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) departments to ensure compliance activities occur in an accurate and timely manner to meet federal, state, and local requirements.
- Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements for existing and new legislation; monitors adherence to requirements; advises management on non-compliance.
- Collects and ensures annual reports for federal grant programs have been completed and are maintained for the required records retention period.
- Maintains reports submitted to outside agencies and verification of submissions by WCPSS departments, as needed; serves as repository of reports and verifications for WCPSS.
- Assists with development and submission of Board prcis for compliance with district policy.
- Reviews various reports for accuracy and reconciles errors.
- Maintains tracking function for district grant activity and completes regular data entry to ensure up-to-date data is readily available regarding district-wide grant activity.
- Develops and implements compliance and grants tracking procedures.
- Performs other related duties, as assigned.

POSITION PURPOSE:
Ensures compliance activities occur in an accurate and timely manner to meet federal, state, and local requirements. Maintains tracking function for district grant activity and ensures up-to-date data is readily available. Develops and implements compliance and grants tracking procedures. Collects and ensures annual reports for federal grant programs have been completed and are maintained for the required records retention period.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This job operates in a professional office environment and has a noise level of mostly low to moderate. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, scanners, and copiers. The position, at times, must be able to come into direct contact with school system staff, staff members of external agencies, and the community. Work is considered light physical work, requiring the exertion of up to ten pounds of force.
