    WHERE YOU WILL WORK

    This is a hybrid position, working from home Monday and Friday, in-office Tuesday through Thursday. Office is located at our sales office in Atlanta Georgia.

    WHAT YOU WILL DO

    At The AMES Companies, our Key Account Manager assists and supports the sales team with sales to The Home Depot. Supports company related activities to help ensure our products, delivery, and store sales performance continue to positively differentiate The AMES Companies from the competition. Having knowledge of the retail industry and/or having direct experience selling to or supporting sales to The Home Depot is preferred.

    Key knowledge, skills, and responsibilities Include but not limited to:

    • Assist with account sales support and analytics, including line reviews, sales performance, metrics, promotion, inventory recommendations, etc.
    • Assist in cross merchandising and off shelf promotional activity.
    • Assist in business reviews for our retail partners.
    • Provide first level support to sales team and customer as necessary.
    • Ability to build strong business relationships both internally and externally.
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills a must
    • Responsible for ensuring that specified quality standards are met for all tasks.
    • Monitor retail changes for AMES and competitors using quarterly comp shops.
    • Generate 'Order Cancellations Report' communication to customer.
    • Logistics maintenance – RMA support
    • Reset project support.
      • Photo audits with tight window response
    • Assist with MET project support as needed.
    • Quote Center support – qualify leads.
    • Light analytics
      • POS Reports, Inventory, Shipping, and Ad-Hoc requests
      • Use data to help identify sales trends and make recommendations on business growth.
    • Innovation Center support as needed.
    • Sales management back up
    • Develop and maintain relationships with IPR analysts and Merchant Planners
    • Other occasional tasks as needed.

    The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of The Home Depot's Supplier Hub portal with a focus on the following tools:

    • IDM
    • Vendor Drill
    • Quote Center
    • Planogram Portal
    • Pricing discrepancy communication to customer
    • Monitor all POP and Literature compliance for Home Depot stores.
    • AMT -Assortment management and maintenance
      • Reset Audits and compliance.
      • POG integrity, insight, and analysis
      • Triangulation reporting working with merchant planner.

    To excel in this role, an administrative assistant needs strong organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 4 Year College education or comparable work experience in a related field of study such as Marketing, Business Analytics or Business Management
    • Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a sales support, business analysts, and/or in a merchandising/marketing role withing a retail organization.
    • Must be proactive and results oriented with strong organizational skills.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills is mandatory.
    • Excellent understanding of analytical sales data and how to use this information to support sales and marketing related initiatives.
    • Ability to effectively support/maintain multiple priorities and demands in a fast paced, time-sensitive environment.

    • This position is located primarily in an office environment. At times the associate is required to sit for long periods of time.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may need the ability to lift and carry loads up to 20 pounds.
    • Upon occasion, the associate may be exposed to operations environment and required to wear personal protective equipment.
