Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Specialist at East Syracuse, NY Laboratory

Job Description: Our laboratory in East Syracuse, NY is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Specialist to join the team. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for overseeing data quality, integrity, and ensuring compliance with quality systems and regulations. They play a key role in internal audits, quality system maintenance, and validation testing.

Audits and reviews quality data according to established procedures
Manages QA functions in compliance with ISO/IEC 17025, ISO/IEC 9001, DoD QSM, TNI Standards, and state-specific requirements
Participates in investigations, impact assessments, and customer audits
Reviews and approves department SOPs, worksheets, and data forms
Conducts training sessions on data integrity, quality systems, and other related topics

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Biology, or related field
3+ years of experience in a regulated commercial lab environment
Knowledge of scientific principles, state regulations, ISO, and TNI Standards
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Strong self-initiative, resource utilization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to lift/carry/push up to 25 lbs on occasion

Salary: $58,000-65,000 annually, depending on experience. This position does not qualify for overtime.
