    About the Role

    The Site Reliability Engineering team in CaptivateIQ operates horizontally across the engineering organization, supporting our development teams by providing them with the tools and processes they need to operate in a frictionless manner.

    We provide the infrastructure needed to run our production platform, and are responsible for the reliable and secure operation of that platform.

    We own the observability that will give us prior warning of impending issues, and will take the necessary action to mitigate those issues.

    The team consists of passionate, driven, forward-thinking engineers, who take as much pride in problem prevention as they do in problem-solving.

    We are passionate about technology and innovation, and continually strive to be aware of the latest solutions the industry has to offer.

    Automation and infrastructure-as-code enable us to put efficient, repeatable processes in place, and we have the flexibility and foresight needed for us to ensure we are working where we are needed most.

    We have the capability to develop expertise in areas we are less familiar with and the ability to share that knowledge with the rest of the team.

    Responsibilities
    Help the engineering team to deliver safe, reliable code to production to meet product requirements.
    Design, develop and maintain our infrastructure as we grow to take on more customers and more complex use cases.

    Develop monitoring and dashboards to ensure visibility into all aspects of our application's performance and stabilityImplementing systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing on the AWS platform.

    Document everything so your findings turn into repeatable actions; automate everything.

    Create runbooks and incident response plans to respond to issues quickly and efficientlyEnsure CaptivateIQ adheres to its compliance and security requirements.

    Requirements5+ years of experience in an SRE or DevOps roleFamiliarity with security, deployment, and management for AWSExperience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as TerraformStrong verbal and written communication and organizational skillsAbility to support our infrastructure management and deployment pipelines using tools such as GitHub Actions and CircleCI.

    Some experience with scripting skills (Bash, Python)Sharp attention to detail, solutions-oriented, and a user-centric focus

    Experience in building scalable, reliable web applicationsExperience with PostgreSQL and RDSExperience with Redis and ElastiCacheExperience in a regulated environment (e.g., HIPAA, PCI)Experience with SOC2 audits and controls
