SUMMARY
The Manager-S&OP will oversee all S&OP functions for the Roofing & Stone division of Westlake Royal Building Products.

The S&OP Manager is responsible for Demand Planning, Inventory Strategies, Supply Planning, Monthly S&OP reviews and presentations and continuous improvement of all processes within S&OP.

The S&OP Manager will lead a team focused on supply planning and collaborate with the sales teams for demand planning to deliver operational success and financial optimization by designing strategies to meet the company's short-term and long-term objectives.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
May include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Creates the company's S&OP strategy and drives implementation
  • Maintains sales and operations planning (S&OP) communication across sales, operations, product development and finance.
  • Communicates and collaborates with leaders from customer service, sales, engineering, marketing, operations, etc.
  • Develops production and inventory plans to support annual budget process for each plant
  • Oversees master data management maintenance including item master, BOM, routing and data collection.
  • Leads software implementations and change management
  • Leads S&OP process for the business including monthly updates and reviews
  • Helps provide oversight of the business' digital systems as it relates to supply chain and logistics
  • Analyzes data from production attainment, customer order management, lead time attainment, past due to lead time orders, etc.
  • Evaluates and report on KPIs
  • Monitors supply planning with the team
  • Maintains supply chain inventory to drive efficiency and customer satisfaction
  • Trains and leads the Roofing & Stone planning team
  • Finds costeffective solutions for S&OP processes
  • Recommends and implements measures to keep systems and processes on track and drive monthly improvements
  • Oversees and administers departmental budget including freight analytics and cost
  • Resolves issues that come up (i.e. lack of decision making, delays in materials, etc.)
  • Collaborates with other departments to create coordinated plans for business growth
  • Ensures S&OP processes meet legal requirements and standards
  • Complies with company policy and procedures
  • Maintains constructive working relationships with coworkers and supervisors/managers
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or similar field

Experience
A minimum of 10 (ten) years of experience in S&OP or supply chain management

5+ years of experience in managing teams

Excellent knowledge of supply chain processes

Working experience of relevant software (i.e. JD Edwards, SAP, etc.)

Ability to organize people and tasks; possess leadership skills; have a strong working knowledge of the company and its products.

Strong communication skills, excellent organizational and project management skills, attention to detail, creative problem-solving, a strategic and analytical mind; and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).

Advanced Level Excel preferred.

Effectively communicate with all levels of employment both verbally and in writing. Interpersonal skills are also required. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
