This pivotal role within the Quality Team will collaborate closely with Systems, Hardware, and Software Engineering as well as Production. The Test Technician III will be instrumental in executing hardware testing procedures, conducting component and product-level testing, and upholding the rigorous quality standards essential for delivering top-tier products. The ideal candidate will possess hands-on experience in electro-mechanical hardware setup, testing, and troubleshooting, spanning from printed circuit board inception to final product completion.

Your expertise in equipment operation will be crucial in executing efficient and effective testing processes.
    • Verification and Validation: Verify and validate product and documentation configuration, test processes, and test equipment/setup configuration and calibration. Your attention to detail will guarantee the accuracy and reliability of test results.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Measure, collect, and record electromechanical performance data as per test specifications. Analyze and evaluate data to ensure compliance with test requirements and prepare accurate and comprehensive test reports. Your analytical skills will provide valuable insights for product improvement and decision-making processes.

As a Test Technician III, you'll also have the opportunity to support various engineering activities aimed at enhancing product quality and functionality including:

    • Collaborate with engineers in the performance of design validation tests. This includes setting up and operating general and special purpose test equipment to validate the design integrity and functionality of our products. Your expertise will ensure accurate and reliable test results.
    • Conduct initial procedural tests on new or modified equipment to ensure compliance with specified requirements. Your meticulous approach will help identify any discrepancies and ensure that testing procedures can be executed effectively.
    • Set up test apparatus and conduct tests on production assemblies and units. Your attention to detail and adherence to testing protocols will ensure the consistency and quality of our products.

    Required Skills/Qualifications:

    • An associate degree in electrical or electronics engineering technology, other related technical field, or equivalent military training and 6-10 years of related experience. A High School diploma or equivalent and 8 years related experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
    • Proficiency in operating general and specialized test equipment, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings and electrical schematics effectively.
    • Strong problem-solving skills, with the capacity to follow detailed work instructions meticulously.

    • Proficiency in utilizing a wide range of testing equipment and tools, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and power supplies.
    • Familiarity with industry-standard testing methodologies and protocols, such as boundary scan testing, functional testing, and environmental testing.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex hardware issues efficiently.
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work seamlessly within cross-functional teams.
    • Adaptable and proactive approach to problem-solving, with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
    • Prior experience in a quality assurance or testing role within the electronics or manufacturing industry is preferred.
    • Certification or training in relevant technical areas (e.g., IPC certification) is a plus.
