    Description

    Superlanet is recruiting for a Biomedical Equipment Technician III position at a healthcare organization in San Diego, California. This position will support the Client organization while they bring on a newly acquired hospital. This will be an in-person, 3 month contract-to-hire opportunity.

    The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of experience working onsite in a hospital and have OEM training in higher-end modalities like Ventilator, Anesthesia, Ultrasound, and networked patient monitoring systems. The technician will also need to be skilled in working with vendors and clinicians to resolve issues beyond their scope of services. Under minimal direction, performs diagnostic troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of sophisticated and complex electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical biomedical and laboratory equipment. This person will also be responsible for evaluating new, proposed and existing equipment and related maintenance programs making recommendations for changes. Lead experience is highly desired.

    Requirements

    • Minimum 4 years of experience working in a hospital setting as a Biomedical Equipment Technician.
    • High-end Biomed medical devices - ventilators, anesthesia machines, ultrasound, surgical lasers, infusion systems, patient monitoring systems, and other electro-mechanical and microprocessor-based instrumentation.
    • Scanning, bar-coding, receiving, storing, and distribution of medical and surgical supplies, Biomedical equipment, instruments, and other materials
    • Ability to perform diagnostic trouble-shooting, repair and maintenance of sophisticated complex electronic, electro-mechanical and mechanical biomedical equipment
    • This role is an in-hospital position.
    • This role requires flexibility to work variable shifts

    Preferred: Electronic Technician (CBET), Equipment Manufacturer Training Certifications, AAMI Certified Biomedical Electronic Technician (CBET). Network certification(s), B. Braun Certification

    $50-54/Hour
