    Description

    Essential Functions:

    • Responsible for the staffing requirements of the shipping area.
    • Maintain records of team members for attendance and performance.
    • Plan daily ship schedules at least one day before the shipments (unless emergency shipments).
    • Verify the material is available for shipment. If the material is not available, contact the scheduler. If the material will not be available, notify the Materials Manager.
    • Effectively communicate information regarding company and management decisions to team members.
    • Responsible for proper training of team members.
    • Maintain a safe work environment. Conduct weekly audits with a team member.
    • Facilitate effective and timely team meetings.
    • Responsible to ensure all IATF and ISO9001 procedures are followed and updated accordingly.
    • Maintain up-to-date information in COPS system.
    • Responsible for cycle counting all stages of glass inventory.
    • Maintain professional relationship with both internal and external customers.
    • Must participate in physical inventories.
    • Adherence to NSG/Pilkington Standards of Business Conduct and its Values and Principles
    • Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications Required:
    • Minimum of 2-3 years of recent supervisory experience in a manufacturing facility
    • Well-developed interpersonal, verbal and writing skills are required. Must be capable of using Excel and Word.
    • Must be able to multi-task, work well under pressure, and have creative solutions to complicated problems.
    Qualifications Desired:
    • SAP experience
    • A college degree (4 year) is desired.
    Other Requirements:
    • Must be able to occasionally lift, carry, push and/or pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
    • Must be able to complete fork truck certification.
