    Job Overview

    M&R Holdings LLC is seeking an Accounting Manager/Sr. Accounting Manager. In this role, you play a crucial role in the financial management of real estate development companies and projects. Your responsibilities involve handling accounting tasks related to property development, cost analysis, and financial reporting. You'll collaborate closely with project teams, management, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate financial records and compliance.

    Key Responsibilities


    Project Accounting:
    Manage the full accounting operations for multiple real estate development projects, from pre-development to construction completion.

    Track project costs, including land acquisition, construction, and other expenses.

    Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts specific to each project.

    Monitor project budgets and analyze deviations.

    Ensure accurate billing and payment processing.


    Job Costing:
    Perform professional-level accounting related to job costing.

    Allocate costs to specific projects accurately.

    Ensure proper coding and classification of expenses.

    Collaborate with project managers to validate cost data.


    Financial Reporting:
    Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for development companies and real estate development projects.

    Analyze income and expenses, identifying trends and areas for improvement.

    Present financial information to management and stakeholders.


    Compliance, Policies, and Procedure:
    Maintain compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies.

    Identify areas for improvement and recommend & implement solutions.

    Create policies and procedures to increase accounting team functionality.


    Financial Guidance:
    Provide financial insights and recommendations to project teams.

    Assist in evaluating investment opportunities through metric reporting.

    Contribute to and participate in financial decision-making related to real estate development.

    Qualifications

    Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

    CPA/CMA preferred.

    3+ years of experience

    in real estate accounting, ideally with exposure to construction and development.

    Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Ajera).

    Proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel.

    Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

    Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
