- Knowledge of environmental management in areas such as air, wastewater, solid, and hazardous waste, toxic chemical management, and regulations
- Ability to work effectively in teams
- Logistics skills (i.e., develop mid to long-term strategies, for the entire supply chain; supply method evaluation and analysis; develop emergency concepts; develop methods and standards)
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office applications
- German language skills both oral and written
- Support the creation and tracking of waste management related processes, strategies, and Key Performance Indicators (KPI), by using corporate standard concepts
- Provide cost transparency for waste management-related contract activities that may include recycling rebates, Waste Service Provider (WSP) billing and invoice information, transportation, repairs, leases, or rentals
- Supports with providing departmental budget forecasts, accruals, budget compliance, and target tracking
- Actively participate in projects associated within assigned areas of responsibility, including periodic regulatory, internal, and external audit
- Ensure on-time validation of service provider invoices/work orders and payments through the systems
- Create purchase requisitions for approved goods/services to support waste logistics management
- Ensure timely compliance and resolution of workflow notifications
- Ensure planning for regulated materials management meets all applicable regulatory requirements
- Support development and creation of regular status reports and indicators to measure assigned work activity including service provider performance management
- Support Waste and Environmental projects and activities including audits ensuring all issues are closed/addressed in a timely manner
- Understand and model VPS (Value Added Production System) Principles and concepts of Standard Work and Problem Solving
- Adhere to 5S and Safety Standards and Principles
- Perform other tasks as required
- Ability to walk long distances, climb stairs, and sit or stand for prolonged periods of time
