    POWER SYSTEMS/SCADA ENGINEER (AUSTIN, TX)

    Indie Energy is supporting some of the largest Solar PV and Energy Storage projects all across North America. We supply our software platform for controls and SCADA (i.e. the Indie EMS) along with supporting services like networking, PSSE/PSCAD modeling, interconnection support, and substation automation. Our software and project design approach is a unique one and one that is resonating within industry as evidenced by our growing project portfolio.

    Indie Energy is growing fast and in need of exceptional engineers to design and deliver the controls systems for some of the world's most exciting renewable energy projects. We look for team members who are quick learners, have a good understanding of first principles, demonstrate an adaptive mindset, and bring a can-do attitude to when facing challenges.

    Primary Responsibilities

    · Develop logic and control schemes for utility scale solar and battery storage systems

    · Design and deploy communications systems for control and monitoring of energy systems

    · Perform system modelling and provide control parameters for new projects

    · Configure automation controllers, HMIs, and network components

    · Support product deployment and testing

    · Work in a fast-paced environment to commission energy assets

    · Develop techniques for system operation analytics and visualization

    Subject areas in which our engineering team works:

    · Power systems design and engineering

    · Industrial SCADA and software systems

    · Power System modeling (PSCAD, PSS/E, PSLF)

    · Networking (TCP/IP, WebSocket, VPN, HA arrangements, ACLs/VLANs/Routing)
