    Description

    The Cyber Security Engineer is entrusted with safeguarding the corporate global computer network, technology infrastructure, diverse endpoints, and data from security breaches and suspicious activities.

    This role requires someone who has transitioned from a hands-on engineering role to working at a high level with cyber security policy. Given the evolving cyber threats landscape, expertise in implementing security policies to achieve NIST and ISO certifications is essential. Additionally, hands-on experience with security within the Azure Cloud is a must-have.

    Essential Functions:

    1. Implement network security policies, application security, access control, and corporate data safeguards.
    2. Generate monthly Cyber Metrics Dashboards.
    3. Prepare the organization for security certifications such as ISO 27001, CMMC, NIST , GDPR, etc.
    4. Establish security requirements for networks and equipment.
    5. Conduct monthly security audits and make policy recommendations.
    6. Monitor and defend systems against unauthorized access, modification, and destruction.
    7. Identify suspicious threats and activities.
    8. Identify and spotlight vulnerabilities in networks, programs, and applications.
    9. Correct problems and prevent security breaches.
    10. Design security elements to mitigate emerging threats.
    11. Design, build, implement, and support security systems.
    12. Review, investigate, and respond to real-time alerts within systems.
    13. Monitor online security-related resources for new and emerging cyber threats.
    14. Perform vulnerability and network scanning assessments.
    15. Configure and support security tools such as firewalls, anti-virus software, patch management systems, etc.
    16. Contribute to and maintain business continuity and disaster recovery protocols.
    17. Provide technical security advice.
    Qualifications:
    1. A minimum of ten years in networking and/or cyber security.
    2. Prior experience setting security policies and protocols within Microsoft Azure.
    3. Hands-on experience transitioning to a high-level role in cyber security policy.
    4. Expertise in implementing security policies to achieve NIST and ISO certifications.
    5. Technical knowledge of firewalls, wireless access points, VPNs, endpoint security solutions, and desktop operating systems.
    6. Demonstrable experience related to IT governance, risk management, and problem-solving.
    7. Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) certification preferred.
    8. Bachelor's Degree in a related field preferred.
