Job Overview:

- Lead and inspire a team of Park Operations Ambassadors in delivering an exemplary level of guest service. Model a positive attitude, a high level of energy and an unyielding commitment to quality.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain oversight of all security operations across two parks and support operations
- Ensure the professional development of the security leadership team.
- Educate others about workplace violence, travel security, emergency response and general security awareness.
- Direct ongoing threat assessments and investigate breaches or incidents, internal or external.
- Lead emergency or crisis response with excellence as necessary.
- Partner with appropriate individuals to maintain effective controls over retail theft.
- Develop and ensure a guest service culture within the security team.
- Closely monitor industry, regional and other trends and intelligence as well as discreet incidents, to ensure proper preparedness.
- Establish and maintain excellent, effective relationships with local law enforcement and regulatory agencies that may interact with SeaWorld security operations.
- Ensure effective policies and procedures are in place and maintained within a regularly changing business landscape, and according to company standards.
- Coordinate robust offduty officer program ensuring coverage during park operation.
- Engage with operations throughout the park and participate in the Park Duty Manager program.
- Maintain ongoing communication with appropriate members of leadership to facilitate a very secure environment.
- Integrate appropriate security technology solutions.
- Effectively manage labor including identifying needs, hiring, selection, training, scheduling, and retention.
- Create and maintain Department Standard Operating Procedures
- Represent the park for court related matters.
- Oversee creation and implementation of training program for newly hired Security personnel.
- Effectively manage operating expenses.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.
Qualifications:
- At least 18 years of age.
- Possession of a valid state driver's license.
- Must be available to work weekdays, weekends, holidays, and work various hours, to include evenings; available for tours during overnight shifts as needed.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Competencies:
- Comfortable speaking in front of large groups of guests and team members
- Able to remain calm and professional during challenging situations.
- Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English
- Skilled in organization and planning
- Troubleshooting — Determining causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
- Critical Thinking — Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.

- Strong written/verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English
Responsibility for Others:
- Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to safety requirements.
- Leads the daily operations of the Security department.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 75 lbs.
- Regular use of hands and fingers; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floorto waist/waisttooverhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors and cold/heat temperature extremes.
- May perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals.
- Must be flexible in work locations as placement will depend on business needs and career development opportunities.
- Able to climb stairs/ladders.
Availability:
- Available to work varying shifts or hours based on park hours, weekdays, weekends, holidays, and work various hours, to include evenings; available for tours during overnight shifts as needed.
Training:
- Able to be trained and certified at all assigned areas and job functions.
