What you get to do:

As a Server at SeaWorld San Diego San Diego, you will serve delicious meals and beverages while creating memorable experiences for our guests.

All while interacting with families and children in a warm and friendly atmosphere.

You will, also, have the exciting opportunity to:

Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests
Provide exceptional guest service, ensuring the needs of children and families are met.
Knowledge of the restaurant's menu items and provide recommendations to guests; Provide information to guests on food & beverage products being offered.
Takes drink orders and delivers to guests.
Buses tables and stocks buffet line.
Serves beer and wine to guests in compliance with Alcohol training, company policy and CA state laws.
Appropriate service and restriction as necessary of alcoholic beverages per training and policy guidelines.
Hosts and checksin guests.
Carves meat on a buffet line.
Moves food carts through the park.
Washes and dries dishes and utensils and ensures proper sanitation standards are met.
Loads and operates dish machine.
Assist in restaurant cleanliness and table setup.
Collaborate with restaurant staff to create a smooth dining experience.
Maintains facility cleanliness and an organized restaurant environment. (i.e., remove litter surrounding facility and empty trash receptacles).
Ensures excellent guest service by responding to guest requirements, expectations and needs.
Address and resolve guest concerns or complaints professionally.
Contribute to a dynamic and fun work environment while upholding the highest standards of guest service.
Follow proper transaction procedures; Operate POS register.
Prepare/carry vending trays.
Working in the back of the house
Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors, Vendors and our Guests
Perform other duties as assigned.
Occasionally assist other locations and areas in the park as needed.

What it takes to succeed:

Must be 21 years of age or older due to alcohol service requirements.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; able to read, write and speak English.
6 months of fullservice dining environment experience preferred.
Tray experience preferred
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
Must be able to pass SeaWorld's Food Handlers & Alcohol training program and receive certifications
Previous server or food and beverage experience is a plus.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fastpaced, familyfriendly environment.
Ability to learn/use point of sale (POS register) systems
Friendly and outgoing personality, especially when interacting with children.
Ability to walk and stand extensively
Strong attention to detail and multitasking abilities.
Flexibility in work schedule, including weekends and holidays.
ServSafe certification or equivalent food safety training is a plus.
Food service and/or theme park experience highly desirable

Availability and Hours:

Must have 3 days of unrestricted availability, to include at least one weekend day year round
