**Job Description**

**AECOM** is actively seeking an Entry Level Highway Design Civil Engineer in the Harrisburg, PA area to join AECOMs **Transportation** team.

_This position is flexible to begin in Fall or Winter of 2024._

**The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:**

+ Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

+ Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.

+ Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.

+ Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

+ Design of roadway geometry, traffic control, signing and pavement markings

+ Utility coordination support

+ Computer Aided Design production

+ Calculation of quantities and cost estimates

**Qualifications**

**Minimum Requirements:**

+ Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

**Preferred Qualifications:**

+ Academic track with focus in transportation, highways, roadways, and/or pavement design is highly desirable.

+ Demonstrate effective time management, task prioritization, and strong interpersonal skills.

+ Ability to work productively in a team environment.

+ Professionalism in verbal and written communications

+ Ability to adapt to shifting priorities/work schedules.

+ Proficient in MS Office Suite

+ NCEES FE (any state)

+ Technical experience preferred in MicroStation & AutoCAD, BlueBeam, OpenRoads, and/or InRoads

+ Prior relevant internship experience is a plus.

+ Receptive to comments and direction provided by others.

+ Valid U.S. Drivers License preferred to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices when public transportation is not available.
