Job Description

Department III is responsible for federal construction projects in Bonn and abroad. Foreign construction projects are managed from Bonn and Berlin. The construction tasks at the Bonn location include new buildings, extensive renovations, and ongoing construction activities for federal ministries, subordinate authorities, and international institutions based in Bonn.

Within this department, your responsibilities include project management/project processing for construction projects in the field of civil engineering/structural engineering. In the coming years, you will work with a team of various disciplines to develop a comprehensive infrastructure concept for the Rochusstrasse campus in Bonn and carry out corresponding construction projects. The Rochusstrasse campus, as a federal property, houses several ministries and is planned to be extensively renovated, supplemented with new buildings, and developed into an energy-efficient and sustainable government location in the coming decades.

Preparation, implementation, and follow-up of construction projects/sub-projects, in particular the definition of project objectives, organization, technical standards, and cost control

Construction-related advice for users and project sponsors as well as coordination with approving institutions, testing engineers, and experts

Preparation of performance profiles and contracts for fee-based services and conducting contract negotiations as well as award procedures according to VgV

Instruction, coordination, and monitoring of the services of freelance professionals
