- Maintain AppFolio's positive reputation and sentiment through always-on brand and market intelligence, providing actionable insights for the communications team and senior management.
- Create and execute plans to mitigate risk and manage issues affecting trust and reputation.
- Craft narratives to articulate business strategies and curate editorial news flow and content across channels.
- Manage our day-to-day PR agency relationship, driving strong alignment, execution, and achievement of pre-determined KPIs within the allocated budget.
- Write high-quality PR materials, including pitches, press releases, Q&A/FAQ, contributed articles, and keynote presentations.
- Elevate the voice of our key leaders and innovators via proactive platform development and executive thought leadership.
- Direct experience working with the media, particularly within vertical industry and B2B trades
- Experience working at and/or managing a PR agency
- A strong writing background with a demonstrated ability to develop communications materials that influence and inspire action
- Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment, working proactively with superior attention to detail
- Strong executive presence and ability to hold a "seat at the table" alongside other areas of the business

AppFolio seeks a Senior Public Relations Manager to join our communications team, developing and executing a PR strategy that advances and protects the AppFolio brand. You are a master storyteller with excellent writing skills, demonstrated success engaging business media, and a passion for communicating to influence audiences and inspire action. You will be an essential partner to the communications team, go-to-market teams, corporate functions, and executive leadership. This position will report to the Senior Director, Communications, and will be based at our Santa Barbara, CA headquarters.
Reputation Management
The base salary/hourly wage that we reasonably expect to pay for this role is: $110,000-$140,000
The actual base salary/hourly wage for this role will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the candidate's skills, education, experience, etc.
Please note that base pay is one important aspect of a compelling Total Rewards package. The base pay range indicated here does not include any additional benefits or bonuses/commissions that you may be eligible for based on your role and/or employment type.
