- Plan, develop, organize, implement, direct and evaluate the resort's fiscal functions and performance, including, strategic planning, financial planning, treasury, cost of goods, revenue management, capital planning, asset management, budgeting and forecasting, accounting and various administrative operations for the resort and its operations.
- Participate in the development of the resort's plans and programs as a strategic thinker considering industry and market conditions.
- Evaluate and help implement long-range planning, introduction of new programs/strategies and regulatory action.
- Work closely with the leadership team and management company, Powdr Corporation, on long-term strategy, budgeting, capital projects.
- Along with the President and other senior leaders, determines annual resort targets. Reviews the annual operating budgets. Participates in executive committee review of overall company budget.
- Coordinates the development of the long-term strategic initiatives and operating projections to incorporate into the company's business plan.
- Reviews the company's monthly P&L statement for accuracy and to identify and coordinate response to budget variances.
- Communicates with operational directors and managers - regarding policies and procedures, as well as holding them accountable for their operations' financial results.
- Direct the controller, accounting team and financial staff, to evaluate the department structure and team planning for continual improvement of the efficiency and effectiveness of the group as well as provide individuals with professional and personal growth with emphasis on opportunities (where possible) of individuals.
- Develops annual budget and its subsequent review and monitors close adherence to budget.
- Develops and maintains 5-year strategic plan, presents to POWDR executive team annually.
- Coordinates the development of forecasts to ensure adherence to the company's business plan. Holds all others involved accountable for their respective divisions.
- Participate in resort's 401(K) committee and analyze employee benefits with other Senior managers.
- Enhance and/or develop, implement and enforce accounting and finance policies and procedures of the resort by way of systems that will improve the overall operation and effectiveness of the corporation.
- Establish credibility throughout the resort and with the management company as an effective developer of solutions to business challenges.
- Maintain a reliable cash flow projection process and reporting mechanism that includes a minimum cash threshold to meet operating needs.
- Be an advisor from the financial perspective on any contracts into which the resort may enter including concession, U.S. Forest Service, DABS, water, sponsorship, trademark, land acquisition and sales, condominium management agreements, third-party pass products, insurance, event, timeshare foreclosures and supplier.
- Check signing responsibilities for the company checking accounts.

- College degree in related field required.
- 10+ years of job-specific work experience in finance or FP&A with demonstrated competence.
- Ability to ski or snowboard desirable.
- Valid driver's license and good driving record.
- Flexible with hours and days of work; need to be able to work any hours of the day, any days of the week.
- Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, with some nights and weekends as required by workload and special events.
- Mental: May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continual work with public, winter conditions and commuting to/from Snowbird.
- Physical:Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must demonstrate ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions. General office environment with limited physical activity.

SUMMARY
Snowbird's Sr. Director of Finance, under the direction of Snowbird's President/General Manager as well as the management company (Powdr Corp), plans, directs and controls the resort's overall financial and accounting functions, operations and plans as well as the Purchasing department. As a member of Snowbird's Resort Leadership Team, the Sr. Director of Finance plays an integral role in determining the resort's long-term direction, strategies and initiatives.
