    **PURPOSE


    AND SCOPE OF POSITION:
    **This position is accountable

    to manage accurate inventory of direct GMP materials,

    coordinate with Planning and Procurement teams for materials to be ordered , drive material release, and monitor &

    control the days on hand (DOH) of

    SAP inventoried materials.


    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:

    People Leadership

    • Develop and manage team member resource allocation to meet workflow demands
    • Coach and counsel team members to develop their skill sets and create an environment of continuous learning, teamwork, transparency and a sense of urgency
    • Communicate with cross-functional leaders inside and outside of Supply Chain to drive successful outcomes for the site and functional business unit
    • Maintain and communicate performance metrics for team, setting and maintaining high expectations for team performance

    Material Planning

    • Lead end-to-end management of material testing at an offsite location & on-site material release to ensure sufficient quantities of released materials are available for manufacturing
    • Monitor Days on Hand inventory; escalate deviation from upper & lower DOH control limits
    • Coordinate with Site Supply Chain Planning function to ensure timely and accurate orders are placed

    End-to-End Inventory Lifecycle

    • Author SOP revisions and change controls regarding inventory management
    • Oversee inventory document archival
    • Execute inventory write-off process (Disposal Request) for expired materials. Partner with external service provider & Site Security to manage & witness physical destruction of materials
    • Ensure all rejected and obsolete materials are removed from use in accordance with SOPs
    • Maintain and communicate performance metrics for Inventory Control function
    • Distribute inventory reports as required by SOPs

    Inventory Accuracy

    • Manage the physical cycle count program by verifying SAP inventory v. physical counts for on-site and offsite locations
    • Conduct inventory reconciliation and inventory audits; investigate discrepancies and adjust errors
    • Maintain a constant state of quality & financial compliance/audit readiness

    Operational Excellence

    • Promote a mindset of continuous improvement, problem solving, and prevention
    • Track and report metrics
    • Participate in and/or lead cross-functional teams to improve systems, processes or internal/external performance




    REQUIRED COMPETENCIES:
    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:


    Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Engineering or Life Sciences
    • An equivalent combination of education, experience and training may substitute
    • Preferred but not required: Certification in CPIM, CSCP, and/or CLTD

    Experience:

    • Minimum 4 years of cGMP operational or supply chain experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably in pharmaceuticals)
    • Advanced Proficiency in MS Office applications
    • Strong knowledge of inventory systems (preferably SAP)
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Lean/Six Sigma Yellow Belt or Green Belt experience preferred
    • Demonstrated experience to
    • Solve complicated problems, especially using advanced skills to compile and analyze data
    • Effectively communicate problem statements and escalate concerns
    • Present data and analyses in an organized, clear and concise manner
    • Work independently for extended periods of time
    • Work as a team and mentor peers/direct reports
