- Serves as the Institutional Official for all research grants and contracts.
- Provides advice and guidance as needed for the proposal development process, particularly regarding complex, multi-disciplinary projects and training programs.
- Stays abreast of research administration, Uniform Guidance, and agency updates and recommends policy changes.
- Serves as primary point of contact for university administration (chairpersons, deans, administration) on sponsored research initiatives, proposals, awards, and report data.
- Maintains a strong, professional working relationship with researchers, chairpersons, deans, administrators and interacts regularly to ensure positive operations.

Job Description
Reporting to the Associate Vice Provost, the Director, Office of Sponsored Programs is responsible for ensuring the successful submission of BC grant and contract proposals.
The Director oversees contract negotiations, subrecipient processes and non-financial post award while fostering productive relationships between faculty, administrators, peer institutions and sponsors.
The University's strategic planning process has launched several new research-intensive programs, including the Schiller Institute for Integrated Science and Society and Human-centered Engineering.
Combined with existing faculty research and scholarship, the University forecasts significant additional growth in faculty and in sponsored research activity from both federal sponsors and corporate and foundation entities at the national and international levels.
Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range:
$161,350 to $201,700; salary commensurate with experience.
Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree preferred.
A minimum of 10 years' experience in sponsored programs administration and demonstrated experience working with university administrators, academic leaders, faculty, and department personnel.
