Duties:
This position is located in the Office of the Chief Administrative Officer (OCAO), Office of Information Services (OIS).
The position is responsible for ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, networks, and data of information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools.
Provides critical support to 0IS in the delivery, implementation and integration of government-wide cybersecurity defense strategies.
Specifically, incumbent duties and responsibilities include, but is not limited to, leading, planning, developing, and coordinating agency-wide information security programs, processes, procedures, and strategies.
Performs risk analysis of components and systems to incorporate into existing accreditation boundaries to quantify potential impacts to the security profile.
Reviews and evaluates information security incident response practices, processes and procedures. Identifies changes needed on new security technologies, vulnerabilities and threats.
Integrates security programs across disciplines and defines the scope and level of detail for security plans and policies applicable to security programs.

You must be a U.S. Citizen. Successful completion of a Background Investigation is required. Must complete a one year probationary period. Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance.
Qualifications:
In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below.
To qualify for this position at the CP-12 grade level, you must have had at least one (1) year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the CP-11/GS-13 grade level.
Specialized experience may be defined as the following:
(1) Initiating, directing, and participating in security audits, security reviews, and risk assessments; and developing contingency plans;
(2) Developing, implementing, overseeing, and monitoring the certification and accreditation of organizational systems and infrastructure; IT security strategy, IT security plans; IT security policies; standards and practices; and security management programs;
(3) Implementing and initiating security controls, defenses, and countermeasures to detect, intercept, and prevent internal or external attacks; and
(4) Identifying changes needed resulting from new security technologies, vulnerabilities, and threats.
In addition to meeting the above described specialized experience requirements, your IT experience will be evaluated and be expected to include described experience in the following competencies:

There is no education substitution for experience in this series and/or grade.
