    Schedule: Full Time

    Shift: Various Shifts to include a 30-minute holiday and weekend call requirement

    Location: AdventHealth Tampa, Florida

    • Surgical Pioneers - the first in Tampa with the latest robotics in spine surgery
    • Building a brand new, six-story surgical and patient care tower to ensure state-of-the-art medical and surgical care for generations to come
    • Awarded for excellence in stroke care by The American Heart Association/American Stroke Association and The Joint Commission

    The role you'll contribute: Prepares and maintains the surgical area, scrubs, is the first assistant to the physician during procedures, assists the RN in technical functions related to patient care in the OR, and assists in the training of others.

    The value you'll bring to the team: Positioning the patient, providing visualization of the operative site, assisting in hemostasis, volume replacement, wound closure, and appropriate wound dressings.

    Qualifications:

    • High School education or equivalent
    • Successful completion of an accredited Surgical Technology Course
    • Able to precept and act as a resource person and preceptor in multiple surgical specialties
    • Minimum six years' experience as a Certified Surgical Technologist/Certified First Assistant
    • Specialist in Orthopedics, Neurosurgery/Spine, and Robotics
    • Certification as a First Assistant by a recognized board
