    Senior Manager, Nursing Education

    Position Summary

    The Senior Manager, Nursing Education provides oversight of evaluation function and supports the facilitation of distance education incorporating innovative teaching methodologies, cutting-edge technologies, and other industry trends reflecting advancements in the discipline by promoting an interdisciplinary approach to nursing education and healthcare delivery. The incumbent will be accountable for the strategies that support faculty management and functional delivery of the nursing curriculum in accordance with the mission, vision, values, and purposes of the Program. The Senior Manager, Nursing Education is accountable for department's successful attainment of key performance indicators, program and functional outcomes, and the success of the College's mission.

    Responsibilities:
    • Supervises the day-to-day operations of the department, including processes and policies, based on established Programs and College policies.
    • Reviews outcomes of audits to identify trends and incorporate interventions through the collaboration with the Faculty Development function, to ensure policies and procedures are followed in facilitating distance and clinical education.
    • Collaborates cross-functionally to meet academic, programmatic, and organizational outcomes.
    • Identifies and implements innovative technologies that are utilized within the College to facilitate the curriculum and enhance the learning experience.
    • Contributes to institutional accreditation activities including the support of the department in meeting accreditation requirements throughout the program and during review periods.
    • Provides onboarding, development, feedback, coaching, and performance management of faculty managers to increase alignment within the department and College.
    • Participates in the successful implementation of other functional projects as they arise.
    Minimum Required Qualifications:
    • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an MSN is required, a doctoral degree is preferred.
    • A minimum of five years of experience in administrative leadership is required.
    • A minimum of five years teaching in post-secondary nursing program with at least one year in concept-based nursing education, distance education, and clinical education is required.
    • A minimum of five years of experience in clinical nursing is required.
    • An active, unencumbered RN license from state of residence is required, and the ability to obtain and maintain licensure in Utah or a valid multi-state license is required.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in the Canvas management system is required.
    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams), and other technology platforms related to the delivery of online nursing education is required.
    • Ability, willingness, and availability to perform needed responsibilities throughout the three academic semesters each calendar year is required.
    • A minimum of two years of experience in institutional and programmatic accreditation processes is strongly preferred.
    All new hires are required to attend New Collaborator Orientation (NCO) in Salt Lake City, Utah. The College will pay for travel and lodging accommodations.
