LifeWise Academy is a released time religious instruction program that exists to reach public school students with the gospel _during school hours_.

Under released time law, students may be released from public school during the day to receive religious instruction, provided the program is off school property, privately funded and parent-permitted.


We believe released time is the greatest missed opportunity of the American church to reach the next generation with the gospel.

About the Job

Job Responsibilities:
Managing the LifeWise 5 L's

Leadership

  • Maintain overall responsibility for all duties listed in the Program Director Job Description and overall accountability for the operational and financial health of all area programs
  • Recruit and hire Site Coordinators, teachers, drivers and other staff members as needed
  • Ensure teachers and volunteers have completed background checks and child safety training
  • Ensure Site Coordinators and teachers have completed all required training
Location

  • Identify and coordinate host site locations and/or church partnerships
  • Manage vehicle procurement and schedule use of regional fundowned vehicles
Logistics

  • Ensure policies and procedures are written and enforced for each program
  • Ensure student permission slips and volunteer interest forms are uptodate for each location
Loot

  • Conduct church presentations and LifeWise 101 events
  • Lead fundraising and donor management for the regional fund
  • Create budgets for each program in collaboration with Site Coordinators
  • Serve as Expense Admin for all programs
  • Review monthly finance reports for all programs
  • Process donations for all programs
Language

  • Coordinate LifeWise presence at area events
  • Recruit, cultivate and manage healthy relationships with strategic partners and area leaders

Qualifications and Experience

  • A mature personal Christian faith consistent with the LifeWise Academy Statement of Faith
  • Leadership experience in either a professional or a volunteer capacity
  • Experience with spreadsheets, virtual meeting platforms and Google Workspace
