PROBATION:

All persons, including current City employees, selected from the eligible list resulting from this examination will be on probation for 6 months.


CLASS DESCRIPTION
A Transportation Marketing Coordinator develops marketing programs and materials and oversees the daily operation of the Ridesharing program. Work of this class involves supervising public information and office support personnel.

Incumbents receive moderate supervision from a technical superior. Employees in this class work a conventional workweek; occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Work is primarily performed indoors where there are no uncomfortable working conditions; however, there may be occasional exposure to inclement weather when working outdoors.

Work requires mínimal physical exertion.


SELECTION PROCESS


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS,
AND ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of marketing and public information practices and procedures.
  • Ability to develop promotional programs.
  • Ability to write press releases, pamphlets and flyers.
  • Ability to deal effectively with others.
  • Ability to implement legislation, standards and regulations.
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Administrative ability.
  • Supervisory ability.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION:
Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.


AND

EXPERIENCE:
Have three years of experience in administrative work.

OR


NOTES (EQUIVALENCIES): Have Six months of additional experience in administrative work may be substituted for each year of the college requirement.
