- Lead the design, development, and deployment of machine learning models for the inspection and classification of PII data, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
- Leverage your knowledge of data discovery techniques to develop intelligent algorithms that identify and classify sensitive data across different data infrastructures.
- Investigate and implement NLP and LLM techniques to enhance the capabilities of data classification, enabling the identification and handling of sensitive information within unstructured data.
- Design and implement platform services to handle 16–20 petabytes of data at the moment and scale to 100–500 petabytes. Our services/products run on some of the biggest data footprints in the world.
- Understand product requirements and provide engineering RFC's, technical architecture and design documents.
- Address challenges such as petabytes of low latency data processing and decision making, cloud native deployment, cost optimization techniques, real-time observability, protection of sensitive data and privacy, etc.
- Apply your experience to architect workflow management and orchestration solutions, enhancing system efficiency and manageability.
- Drive the utilization of cloud-native solutions and technologies to enhance agility and scalability.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within teams, inspiring engineers to explore novel solutions and technologies.
- Define the long-term technical roadmap, incorporating emerging trends and technologies to drive Borneo's technological evolution.
- Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and delivering advanced ML projects, with experience (10+ years) in a senior technical role including 3+ years of experience in solving NLP problems.
- Experience in running and tuning machine learning models in distributed systems
- Proficiency in Python programming languages, and familiarity with ML libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, PySpark).
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deployment of ML models in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience in design and implementation of software systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and reliability.
- Experience in a product startup is highly preferred.
- Experience in LLMs for data classification.
- Experience in cloud security, security engineering, network security in SaaS.
- Understanding of data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA) and experience implementing compliant ML solutions.
