Monitor, control and support all aspects of technology service delivery; ensuring systems, methodologies and procedures are in place and followed.
Lead and oversee the Retirement technology ecosystem, including third party administrator (TPA), SaaS, and internal systems and platforms.
Devise and execute continual improvement initiatives in all Retirement service delivery and technology, with a focus on delivery velocity and quality.
Partner with business leaders to determine and prioritize delivery initiatives.
Manage people, both Global Atlantic, contract resources and TPA employees activities related to technology development and maintenance.
Assist in management of Software Development Lifecycle including requirements gathering, development, testing, release management, and maintenance.
Engage with business partners to report (formally and informally) on technology strengths, weaknesses, successes and challenges on a regular basis.
Effectively partner with business peers to drive organizational goals and strategies.
Assist in defining technology strategy where appropriate. Lead tactical planning to support the execution of the Retirement business technology strategy.
Consult with internal business partners and PMO to set appropriate resource plans, timelines, and expectations across discretionary opportunities.
Partner with technology peers to maintain architecture, infrastructure, data, and security best practices.
Ensure appropriate change management and other technology methodologies are carried out on a consistent basis over time.
Advocate appropriate technologies to be adopted so as to meet present and future demands of the business.
Lead the research and development of new software products and applications.
Define or influence system, technical and application architectures for major areas of development.
Assist in defining and governing appropriate technical standards and procedures.
Conceive, design, prototype, and test new methods, algorithms, and models as proofs of concept when appropriate.
Undergraduate degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
10+ years of experience in technology with exposure to application development, engineering, architecture, change management, continuous improvement, security and major transformations.
Minimum of 3-5 years of demonstrated leadership experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Cultural awareness with excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
Passion and drive for continuous improvement and transformational change, with a business owner mentality.
Preferred experience working with Third Party Administrators.
Preferred insurance or financial services experience.
Experience using agile methodologies and leveraging DevOps principles
