- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments, including safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.
- Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborate with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Process all staff promotions, demotions, and terminations in the HRIS/Payroll system.
- Assist in the management of leave programs.
- Ensure that job descriptions are up to date and compliant with all local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assist in the quarterly evaluation process.
- Engage in continuous learning and development to improve personal skills and to be better positioned to support the organizations objectives.
- Perform other such tasks and assignments as directed by management/leadership of organization.
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist role.
- Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures.
- Good knowledge of employment/labor laws and regulations.
- Outstanding knowledge of MS Office; HRIS systems will be a plus.
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Aptitude in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
- Desire to work as a team with a results-driven approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with program management software.
- Works primarily out of the local office.
- Prolonged sitting required, with ability operate office equipment which may include heavy lifting, bending, and standing.
- Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner.
- If required to make patient visits, prolonged standing and walking is required, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and move patients.
- Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and patient needs, and to make quick decisions and resource acquisition.
