- Maintaining and strengthening our relationship with our local community
- Recruiting and hiring for salaried and hourly openings, maintaining our commitment to hiring in compliance with all federal and state laws
- Creating and maintaining a best-in-class program for new hire onboarding and orientation
- Collaborating and partnering with Operations, Safety, Food Safety/Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other groups to help teams meet their objectives
- Creates strategy for employee engagement, manages budget, planning and execution of activities
- Manages benefits and leave administration, organizing communication and education efforts for employees on benefits
- Manages annual compensation review and increase processes, makes recommendations on changes to compensation processes
- Analyzes data, identifies areas of opportunity, and manages projects to improve results
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with all federal and state employment laws, including government reporting
- Uses judgement and asks for help when needed, bringing in subject matter experts, like legal support, when the need arises
- Plans and manages HR budget
- Performs and oversees all generalist HR duties, including investigations
- All other activities under the scope of HR at JSF
- Bachelor's degree and 5 years of HR experience required
- 3-5 years of management experience in HR preferred

The Senior Human Resources Manager position at John Soules Foods leads the location's HR team and acts as the face of the company in the community.
This position provides in person support to Tyler, Texas plant and corporate employees.The Tyler facility is a further processing food facility with approximately 1000 employees, producing both chicken and beef fully cooked products.
The position is based in Tyler, on the same property as our corporate office, and provides support to corporate positions.
The right person for this role is a strong leader, who leads their team by example, and is skilled with developing others.
