With over 1,000 licensed in-patient beds, UT Health East Texas provides healthcare services to thousands of patients annually through our hospitals, clinics, Level 1 trauma facility, air emergency fleet and EMS service in a metropolitan service area of a quarter-million people.

The successful candidate will:
Conduct nutrition assessments and provide diet education to patients
Educate patients and family members as well as facility staff in concepts of nutrition and diet modification
Participate in multi-disciplinary team conferences and is a great team player

Qualifications & Requirements:

Basic Education Requirement:
Bachelor's degree with completion of required coursework and supervised practice as dictated by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND)

For those seeking registration after 2023, this must be a master's degree)


Credentials Requirement:

Meets eligibility requirements for Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RD/RDN) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and will become registered within 120 days of hire.

In some states and/or facilities the RD/RDN credentials is required at the time of hire
Certification/licensure as required by state(s) of practice
