    Business Development Sales Executive (Employee Benefits)

    Due to continued expansion and growth our client seeks a Sales Executive or Business Development Executive (BDE) that will generate New Sales in Group (commercial) Employee Health, Life and Ancillary Benefits, in the Knoxville/Eastern TN area, and beyond.

    This person should have at least 3+ years sales experience in employee benefits, insurance, brokerage, and knowledge of group health, ancillary and benefits administration products (required).

    Ideal person has an established network in the Knoxville/Eastern TN area, is independent, entrepreneurial, and has proven sales success with a hunter mentality.

    The BDE is responsible for developing new business opportunities and closing sales to achieve established annual sales goals.

    The BDE works closely and in partnership with Business Development Associates and/or marketing team to identify and cultivate leads, as well as effectively close business.

    Identifies, prospects, and closes new business via referrals, networking sources, and organic prospect meetings.
    Closes sales and meets or exceeds aggressive quarterly and annual revenue goals.

    Builds rapport and business relationships quickly and effectively via face to face and phone, social media, blogs, and other thought leadership opportunities.

    Educates prospects on business trends, compliance, products evolution, and company value proposition.
    Manages sales pipeline and sales activities via company database (Microsoft CRM).
    Bachelors degree, preferred.

    3+ years sales experience in employee benefits, insurance, brokerage, or related field, required.
    ~ 7+ years of experience with lead and sales generation, preferred; Must possess the ability to forecast opportunities and penetrate new business daily.
    Must be PC proficient and familiar with database applications, Microsoft Office, and contact management tools.
    Organizational skills and ability to multitask prioritize and achieve sales objectives.
