- Polymer chemistry, photoswitches, sensors/probes, biorthogonal chemistry, nanomaterial self-assembly, supramolecular chemistry.
- Drug delivery. Experience with prodrugs/gene therapeutics is preferred.
- PROTAC, sonotherapy, immunotherapy, or other novel therapy methods.
- Design, synthesis, and characterization of small molecules and macromolecules
- Construct and characterize nanoparticles for optimal performance as drug delivery vehicles or sensors
- Analyze and interpret obtained data
- Draft manuscripts for publication.
- Mentor junior students.

The Functional Organic Materials Lab led by Professor Xiaoran Hu in the Department of Chemistry and Bioinspired Institute at Syracuse University is seeking a postdoctoral scholar to conduct research on functional polymers and/or novel drug delivery systems.
