    The SUNY PRODiG+ Fellowship program (Promoting Recruitment, Opportunity, Diversity, Inclusion and Growth) is a collaborative program of the thirteen comprehensive colleges in the SUNY system aiming to (1) increase the number and share of excellent diverse faculty committed to advancing the ideals of diversity, equity, and inclusion; and (2) strengthen the pipeline for retention and support of those faculty.     Brief Description of Duties:

    SUNY Morrisville seeks a postdoctoral fellow to support our Master of Science in Food and Agribusiness program. This is a two-year term position in our Master of Science in Food and Agribusiness & Bachelor of Business Administration Program in Agricultural Business Development.

    The successful candidate will be a collaborative team member of the Agricultural Business department, eager to support the development of the next generation of Agricultural Business and Economics professionals.

    Primary Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    Curriculum Development & Classroom Instruction
    • A teaching load of 3:4 (21 Credit hours at graduate level).
    • Primary focus on graduate Food & Agribusiness and undergraduate Agricultural Business curriculum. This includes collaboration with the departments to support the development and improvement of these program areas.
    Research & Student Mentorship
    • Provide support for student research projects and theses.
    • Provide guidance and support to students throughout their educational journey, including recruiting students to join our program, academic advising & retention, career counseling, supervision of student interns, and support student clubs.
    • Foster a student-centered approach that emphasizes individual growth and prepares students for the challenges of careers as leaders in the field of Agricultural Economics and Business.
    • Conference attendance to promote personal and student research projects.
    Requirements:

    Minimum Qualifications
    • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
    • A Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness, or a relevant terminal degree from an accredited institution completed prior to the start date.
    • Demonstrated personal, academic, and/or work experience engaging with diversity, equity, and inclusion and/or a commitment to facilitating and enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion efforts in the campus community. Such experience may include, but is not limited to, an academic/scholarly track record focused on diversity, equity, and inclusion; work, volunteer/unpaid/community service; or related experience/expertise in serving underserved or vulnerable areas and/or populations.
    • Research Experience: A strong research record of accomplishment, evidenced by publications or working papers.
    • Some experience teaching or working as a college-level instructor.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated expertise in Agricultural Economics.
    • Holds a PMP or has Project Management experience.
    • Strong interpersonal and communication (both written and oral) skills.
    Preference will be given to candidates who are:
    • Current SUNY students, alumni, and/or Fellows.
    • From a low-income background (e.g., Pell-eligible as undergraduates), were first-generation college students (students whose parents have not earned a bachelor's degree), have overcome adversity, are AmeriCorps alumni, or are veterans
