IAQ Technician

Job Summary Overview:

The technician's responsibilities entail the inspection, repair, cleaning and constructing life safety assets (Fire Dampers, Fire Stopping, Fire Doors, Infection Control, Hood/Kitchen/Duct & AHU Cleaning).

The Technician is responsible for the daily functions of life safety assets in accordance with
OSHA, NFPA-80,101 & 105, IKECA, NADCA and other regulatory agencies.

Major Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions):

Able to assist field workers and trainees
Able to assist projects in both commercial(healthcare), public work, industrial and residential
Able to communicate fluently and efficiently with fellow technicians, office staff, customers, and regulatory agencies
Able to interpret and practice industry standards and regulations
Able to complete job forms (Reporting Documentation, Timecards)
Complete and perform inspections and repairs to life safety assets
Attend trainings as needed
Drive company vehicles to and from job sites
Maintain good driving record
Provide efficient, diplomatic, and professional, customer service
Performs other duties and/or special projects as assigned by Foreman

Position Requirements:

Education, Experience and Skills:

Certification in inspection, cleaning, and restoration is preferred
Excellent working knowledge of hand and power tools
Comfortable with fieldwork and working in all types of weather and environments

- llCRC (inspection cleaning and restoration certification), IFDIA (international fire door inspector association) or FDAI (fire door assembly inspector) is preferred

Physical Requirements in Accordance with ADA:

Carrying/Lifting: Lifting up to 60 lbs.
