The Varel Paper and Cardboard Factory (PKV) is a medium-sized family business with around 600 employees. We produce cardboard and corrugated paper for the German and international packaging industry using state-of-the-art environmentally friendly technologies. Our products are the heart of the packaging solutions for many well-known products.

With an annual production capacity of over 930,000 tons on four modern production lines, we are one of the largest production sites in the European paper industry.


Your main tasks:


  • Technical responsibility for the cardboard machine
  • Further development of the production line in the technical, technological and organizational areas
  • Analysis and elimination of systematic disruptions, errors and failures in the production process
  • Monitoring of auxiliary materials and consumption
  • Planning and execution of repair downtimes
  • Commissioning support for new systems
  • Provision of all necessary operating and wear parts in the responsible area
  • Implementation and monitoring of preventive maintenance strategy
  • Conducting operational trials

Your profile:


  • Successfully completed studies in paper technology or a related field or master's training in paper technology, automation or similar
  • Relevant professional experience, ideally in the field of cardboard production
  • High awareness of safety in the workplace
  • Strong team player
  • Independent, proactive and forwardthinking work style
