You will be reporting to the Plasma Center Manager and working as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) to assist in the operations of the center.

About the role:

Each day, the donors you interact with will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will be transformed into life-altering medications. Customer service and quality are fundamental. Your responsibilities include assessing donor eligibility, managing donor reactions, reviewing test results, and informing donors of any unsuitable test outcomes. The Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) will work under the guidance of the Center Manager (or Assistant Manager) for operational matters and under the supervision of the Center Physician for medical issues. Familiarity with industry regulations or a production environment is expected. Following the guidance from BioLife Medical Affairs is crucial, along with providing environmental, health, and safety (EHS) support at the center level.

How you will contribute

Evaluating donor eligibility
Responding to donor reactions and emergencies
Seeking guidance on medical or technical matters
Supporting vaccination programs
Managing employee incidents
Acting as a Pandemic Coordinator when required

What you bring to Takeda:

High school diploma or equivalent
Licensed or certified in the relevant state as RN, NP, or PA
Current CPR and AED certification
State IV therapy requirements fulfilled
Completing FDA approved training for BioLife Medical Support Specialist
Minimum two years in a clinical or hospital setting
