When Tyrone received a job alert about BioLife’s senior operations manager trainee program, he knew the role seemed like a great fit with his background. Though he did not have experience in healthcare, he applied. After his interview, he felt a sense of belonging and knew he would be given the training and resources to help him succeed.

3 ways Tyrone connected to his community and across the world through his work at BioLife.

Contributing to a Greater Good

Before interviewing for his position, Tyrone was not aware of what the plasma process truly entails. He says, “I had a preconceived notion of what plasma donation would be.” As a candidate, he learned that plasma therapies are incredibly important to developing life-changing medicines that save lives. Now, he says he sees the bigger picture and the impact the BioLife team has on humanity. “The importance of plasma therapies is global. It’s not just here in Indiana or North America. It’s the entire world. You never know who you will help.”

Helping Donors Help Others

Through his work with donors, Tyrone interacts face-to-face with people in his community. He says, “They’re giving me a different perspective and they’re teaching me something new. We are building relationships. It’s invigorating.” Through these connections, he also sees the difference BioLife makes in their lives.

Doing It With Heart

When he met the individuals on his interview panel, Tyrone knew BioLife was the right place for him. Working alongside them for some time now, he experiences their dedication every day. “Some days are long and not every day is a day of gold. Being surrounded by close-knit, hardworking people who do their jobs with heart, makes you feel like a part of the team.”

Since joining BioLife, Tyrone has not only deepened his knowledge of healthcare, he also sees the impact he’s making in other people’s lives. He feels committed to his coworkers and has professional goals of advancing his career and developing others. He shares, “I think it’s important to reach back as you climb up.” That’s the BioLife difference.
