    Description

    The Instructional Specialist promotes student growth by helping schools get the most from their OnCourse technology. This role reports to the Director of Growth and has a customer success focus. The right candidate will join an independent ed-tech company that has supported school districts for 20+ years.     This is a remote position primarily serving New Jersey schools. When not working from the remote home office, 10-15% of specialist time is onsite at conferences, company meetings, trainings, and customer visits in NJ & PA. Reaching these onsite locations by vehicle is preferred.

    OnCourse is a SaaS platform that integrates many aspects of a student's K-12 journey, like classroom communication, formative/benchmark assessment, support services, interventions (MTSS), and graduation paths. This specialist ensures that each district has the training, knowledge, and support to use these tools effectively.

    The ideal candidate will have experience with MTSS/RTI frameworks, data analysis, and instructional strategies. They will have at least three (3) years of classroom experience and an enthusiastic embrace of educational technology. Responsibilities include:

    Helping School Districts Improve Academic Programs

    • Be a subject matter guide to schools implementing new assessments, data warehousing, or MTSS frameworks.
    • Collaborate with product development to refine instructional technology like OnCourse MTSS.
    • Monitor product usage and intervene if additional help is needed to reach sustainable implementation.
    • Assist in troubleshooting urgent software issues, referring to the OnCourse Support team as needed.
    • Develop and deliver training sessions, webinars, and professional development resources for educators and administrators.

    Supporting Sales and Marketing

    • Represent the company at conferences, workshops, and events. Present at breakout sessions.
    • Support sales team by performing product demos for tools like OnCourse Assessment and MTSS.
    • Work with OnCourse Marketing team to create multimedia educational content that promotes effective practices across OnCourse network.

    Qualifications

    · Bachelor's degree in Education, Special Education, Educational Psychology, or a related field.

    · Minimum of 3 years of experience in education. Experience with MTSS/RTI is a plus.

    · Strong understanding of MTSS/RTI frameworks, data-driven instruction, and evidence-based practices.

    · Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.

    · Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

    · Passion for educational technology and a commitment to improving student outcomes.

    · Prior experience providing professional development or training to educators.
