- Master database operations, including backups, monitoring, and data recovery, with a focus on DR strategies and different approaches.
- Ensure data protection principles are upheld to safeguard valuable information.
- Lead in data virtualization, creating solutions that enhance data accessibility and utilization.
- Utilize your coding skills to develop Python REST APIs.
- Navigate the AWS environment confidently to configure and manage cloud-based database services.
- 10+ years of experience as a Database Administrator, with at least 6+ years in a cloud environment.
- In-depth understanding of database concepts, architecture, storage optimization, managed services, and their implications.
- Proficiency in Python, REST API development along with solid knowledge of database operations and data protection practices.
- Experience in data virtualization technologies, Python, working independently as well as collaboratively, and strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills, experience with cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines for database deployments, and understanding of data governance and compliance.
