    Job Description

    Torch Technologies is seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to provide resources with knowledge and experience in the principles, criteria, and procedures of DoD's and Air Force's policies and the common industrial manufacturing standards to manufacturing of systems at Eglin AFB, FL.

    The selected candidate will support manufacturing maturity assessments. Assist in ensuring the prime contractor follows all manufacturing standards relevant to the program.

    Become knowledgeable about the product definitions and manufacturing techniques within their area of expertise and the subcomponents that go into making their products.

    The candidate may be called upon to recommend appropriate corrective actions and/or provide assessments on the risks associated with manufacturing methodologies selected.

    The U.S. Air Force is developing a new LRSO nuclear missile.

    The service plans to field the LRSO by 2030 to replace the current, General Dynamics (now Raytheon) AGM-129A Advanced Cruise Missile (ACM) that originally entered service in 1991.

    In May 2021, the Air Force awarded an Engineering and Manufacturing Design (EMD) contract to Raytheon Missiles and Defense, Tucson, Arizona.

    The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) Nuclear Weapons Acquisition Division (AFNWC/NDB), which is resident at Eglin AFB, Florida, is the System Program Office (SPO) responsible for the acquisition.

    Role and Responsibilities
    Performance assessments of vendors manufacturing maturity.
    Review contractor inputs of PFMEAs and other manufacturing related artifacts.
    Evaluates vendor capabilities to provide required products or services

    Be the technical expert knowledgeable about the manufacturing of weapon system subsystems and the subcomponents that make up those subsystems.

    Job Requirements

    Must have master's degree in a relevant engineering field for a weapons program.
    Must have at least 12 or more years applicable progressively complex hardware design engineering experience.
    Must be a U.S. Citizen
    Must have an active SECRET DoD security clearance. Must maintain clearance at required level.
    Must be eligible for a Top Secret clearance.
    Must be familiar with Military Standards related to manufacturing.
    Must be familiar with DoD Acquisition processes or project management professional principles.
    Must have advanced programs experience.
