    Job Description

    The Video Services Product and Operations team plays an essential role in delivering an award-winning TV experience to millions of DISH and Sling customers. Our team members are committed to continuous improvement and innovation, setting and maintaining the highest standards of the customer viewing experience.

    Job Duties and Responsibilities

    We are seeking an energetic, highly motivated individual to join the Content Operations team as a Specialist. Our team is responsible for content management activities that support DISH and Sling's multi-platform video business.

    The Specialist has responsibility for operational support of the video content that comprises both DISH and Sling's domestic and multicultural video businesses. This role serves as a liaison between our partners and the internal business and technical teams; focusing on video metadata, artwork, and content operations while collaborating with individuals at many levels of the organization. In addition to teams such as technical operations, product management, and engineering, this individual will work closely with many of our programming (e.g., A+E Networks, NBCUniversal) and metadata aggregator (e.g., Gracenote) partners.

    Key Responsibilities:
    • Take the lead on identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving metadata and artwork issues across the DISH and Sling platforms; actively monitor the progress of resolution; keeping management, internal stakeholders, and external business partners informed of progress on a regular basis
    • Work closely with internal engineering and product management teams to find inefficiencies and inaccuracies, helping to drive innovative process and system enhancements to improve the quality of the service and overall customer experience
    • Support metadata and artwork processes related to the launch and maintenance of linear and On Demand content by collaborating with operational and technical teams, including our external metadata partners
    • Develop and conduct regular quality checks to ensure our content meets a high standard of accuracy
    • Create reports to monitor key metrics, interpret results, and seek out areas of concern and opportunity
    • Employ creativity and critical thinking in problem-solving, focusing on both short-term and long-term solutions as needed
    • Develop and implement best practices for the operational management of metadata
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required
    Additional Qualifications/Responsibilities

    Skills, Experience and Requirements

    Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    Skills and Qualifications:
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize in order to meet deadlines
    • Self-starter with strong data management skills and the ability to simultaneously manage multiple requests, working both independently and as part of a team
    • Exceptional oral and written communication skills and the ability to work with management to present information in a professional and effective manner
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace applications, emphasis on Excel and Sheets
    • Knowledge of the pay television industry is a plus
    Salary Ranges

    Compensation: $63,150.00/Year - $90,000.00/Year
