    Audio Visual Lead Technician

    Overview:

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Audio Visual (AV) Lead Install Technician to join our team. As the Lead Install Technician, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of AV system installation projects, from planning and design to execution and completion. You will lead a team of installers to ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in AV system installation, strong leadership abilities, and excellent technical skills.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Lead and manage all aspects of AV system installation projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation.

    2. Conduct site surveys to assess project requirements and develop installation plans accordingly.

    3. Coordinate with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and internal teams, to ensure project objectives are met.

    4. Supervise and provide guidance to installation team members, including technicians and subcontractors, to ensure work is completed efficiently and according to specifications.

    5. Perform hands-on installation of AV systems, including but not limited to audio systems, video systems, control systems, and networking equipment.

    6. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues that arise during the installation process.

    7. Test and calibrate AV systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.

    8. Provide training to clients on how to use and maintain installed AV systems.

    9. Maintain accurate project documentation, including installation records, equipment inventory, and as-built drawings.

    10. Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to AV system installation.

    Qualifications:

    1. Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Audio Engineering, or related field preferred.

    2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in AV system installation, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.

    3. Strong technical knowledge of audio, video, and control systems, including equipment from Crestron, Extron, and Biamp.

    4. Proficiency in reading and interpreting AV system drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.

    5. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks effectively.

    6. Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of successfully leading installation teams.

    7. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders at all levels.

    8. Industry certifications such as CTS (Certified Technology Specialist) or CTS-D (Design) preferred.

    9. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

    10. Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in a variety of environments, including construction sites and commercial buildings.
