Accounting Clerk

Mullinax Automotive is seeking an Accounting Assistant to join our growing team

Since opening in 1970, Mullinax Automotive has grown to be among the nation's top-volume vehicle retailers. We have 11 dealerships including Ford, Buick, GMC, Cadillac, Hyundai and Genesis, in Florida, Alabama and Washington. This is a great opportunity to work closely with a great team and gain experience in the Automotive Industry.

Schedule: Monday – Friday

Job Responsibilities, may include but are not limited to:

Audit Deals and Payoff Liens
Stock in vehicles
Abandon property filing
8300 form uploads and department of revenue filings
Preparing and posting journal entries for month end close
Administrative and clerical tasks
Running errands to the post office, banks, or supply store
Covering reception
Counting and receipting cash
Answering phone calls and taking messages
Working with other stores

Skills & Requirements:

Bookkeeping/Accounting experience
2 or more years working in an office environment
Must have a professional appearance
Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
Able to work in team environment
Beginner to Intermediate Microsoft Excel Skills
Strong attention to detail, and ability to efficiently and consistently produce accurate work
Capability of multi-tasking and prioritizing work in a fast-paced environment
Automotive industry experience a plus
Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent
Valid Driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle driving record according to dealership guidelines
Must be able to pass background screening and drug test
