    Alabama State University, Business and Finance, Accounting Services, invites applications for an Accounting Clerk.

    Under direct supervision of the Director of Accounting, the Accounting Clerk will perform clerical services and specific office management tasks in addition to assisting with programmatic operations in Accounting Services.


    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Maintains and reconciles cash receipts posting in the general ledger
    • Reviews all expense payments for compliance with rules and regulations
    • Maintains daily cash flow reporting
    • Enters journal entries, complies accounting information from files, records, publications and other resources in accordance with report requirements
    • Verifies ticket sales deposits and prepares journal entries to post ticket revenue
    • Performs general office management duties, including filing and organization, and recommends methods for improving office operations and procedures
    • Performs other duties as assigned
    Minimum Qualifications


    High school diploma or GED, 4 years of business office experience (accounting, finance or banking) excellent computer and communication skills, experience working with ERP system.

    Bachelor's degree may be substituted for experience.
